Liz Beament

I’m Liz Beament, currently teaching a Year 1/2 class at KPS.  

I have taught at KPS for almost 20 years, during this time developing enormously as a teacher, colleague and leader. I have taken on many challenges, adapted to new curriculum, embraced change and had the privilege of attending numerous early childhood professional learning sessions and leading new initiatives. 

Being a passionate early childhood teacher, I have never doubted the vital importance of quality teaching and learning in the early years, what a significant effect it has on every child. Although the majority of my teaching has been in Kindy and Pre-primary, I am now embracing teaching in the Year 1/2 domain and thoroughly loving it. 

My most recent Board tenure began when I was acting Deputy at KPS, joining to strengthen my role in supporting the school’s systematic decision making.  The focus of every decision I support at KPS centres around the best interests of our students and their families. I look forward to continuing collaborative discussions and decision making with my fellow board members.
