In line with the Department of Education guidelines and policies around excursions, incursions and event attendance, below is the credit / refund policy of Karrinyup Primary School.
- All students are expected to pay to participate in the relevant school organised incursions / excursions or event attendances as required.
- Payment is expected before the event takes place. Any students who have not paid in full prior to the event, may be excluded from the event at the discretion of the Principal.
- Payment can be made via Compass, credit card or direct deposit into the school bank account: Karrinyup Primary School BSB: 016 350 Account: 3409 74776
- Credits are at the discretion of the Principal and will be guided as follows:
o If a student is ill and recorded as absent by the school on the date of the event and did not attend, they may be granted a credit. The amount may be full or partial, depending on the costs involved and details of the excursion. For example, the entrance fee portion may be refunded, but the transport may not be.
o If a student did not attend the event due to a holiday, appointment or other reason, they are not entitled to a refund.
- KPS will seek to apply any credit to future items / events rather than process a refund.
- Applications for refunds should be made in writing to the Principal for consideration. Refunds will not be approved outside of the calendar year in which the event took place.
- Any credit amount will remain as ‘unallocated’ until the end of the school year when the unexpended amount may be refunded.
