Gemma Wakefield

My name is Gemma Wakefield. My son Isaac is in Pre-Primary. Our introduction to his education has been great with such a fabulous early childhood team here at KPS! I am a trained Speech Pathologist, Early Childhood Educator and Teacher of the Deaf. I’ve worked in private practice, in the education department North East Language Development Centre and Thornlie Primary School and now currently working as a Visiting Teacher of the deaf for the School of Special Needs Sensory. As a result of my experiences I’ve had the opportunity over the past 12 years to understand the allied health and education department systems and have a very specialised knowledge in evidence based practise for supporting students literacy development.
